China stands as the top leader with the most apple trees. The climate in China is great for apple tree growth. The areas where apples grow the most are Shaanxi Province, known for Fuji, Gala and Red Delicious apples. Next would be Shandong Province, featuring Qinguan and Fuji apples. Finally, Hebei Province which features Golden Delicious and Granny Smith apples.
North America is home for another large amount of apple orchards and trees. Within the United States, particularly states like Washington, New York, Michigan and even Ohio have many apple trees.
