What is the Greenline?
The Shelby Farms Greenline is a 10.65-mile paved trail that connects Midtown Memphis to Cordova through the beautiful Shelby Farms Park. This rails-to-trails project transformed a disused railroad line into one of Tennessee's favorite paths, offering access to various points throughout the city, from Tillman Street in Midtown to B Street at Macon Road in Cordova. The Greenline is an enjoyable route that will take you on a journey through the different neighborhoods of Memphis.
Wolf River Greenway
Continuing on the trail will bring you to another part of the path. The Wolf River Greenway, a fun bike path that moves along the Wolf River and features bridges that can be traveled on. This outdoor area features a 12-foot-wide paved pathway that will connect over 22 neighborhoods from Mud Island in downtown Memphis to Shelby Farms Park and beyond. The Wolf River Greenway is a collaborative effort between the Wolf River Conservancy, Memphis Parks, and Shelby County.
Bike Experience
Riding my bike along the greenline was an exhilarating experience that transported me into the heart of Memphis. Starting from the streets of Binghampton, I immediately felt the high energy of the city as cars whizzed by, heightening my senses and creating an atmosphere of movement. Crossing the street, I embarked on the dedicated bike path, ready to embrace the bike trail.
Along the way, I encountered a vibrant mural on the side of a building, capturing the spirit of joy that comes with riding on this unique bike trail.
