Visiting the Crosstown Concourse is a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is very inviting and there are a variety of stores to check out and places to sit. I parked my car in the available free parking lot section. It's next to the concrete parking garage. On the other side there is the Crosstown Brewery. This area had one spot open so I decided to park there.
While walking around the space the sound of jazz music fills the atmosphere. Continuing to walk towards the entrance I decided to go down the indoor hallway. That led me past a few shops where people were getting their nails done and close to that was a chicken shop named Abner's. Past that was a large space that featured Church Health.
Pillars
Continuing on foot, I noticed this long hallway that featured a bunch of photos on the wall. The photos illustrated the past and the present development of the building! What began as the Sears building was now a renovated space that featured all sorts of things for the community. Further along I noticed a pillar that featured a QR code. It was a founders column. I did not scan the QR code but found it fascinating that it was engraved on the pillar.
As I continued to explore the different spaces within crosstown, I noticed that there was a listening lab. This is where people are able to discover new music!
On this same floor there was also an area for artists to showcase their art work. The public could also visit that space and observe the unique ideas that were being showcased through art. Some of the Crosstown Arts residents are able to create work and share it in these spaces.
Arts program
While walking around I could see that there were many places to sit. Either to relax, read a book or even do some studying. I took a few more steps towards the left and noticed that there was a patio outside! Looking over the balcony I saw the Crosstown Theater. It was a hidden little theater where the Arts Program showcases some of the best films from the past! One of the movies that played was Seven Samurai.
